On Sunday, May 17th, Christian Nationalists are claiming to rededicate America to God on the National Mall. Christian Nationalism is a heresy — an abuse of Christianity that uses religion for power and domination.
Faith leaders from different religions and traditions across the country are lifting the warning of the prophet Isaiah:
"These people draw near with their mouths and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me."Isaiah 29:13
On this 250th year of America, we must offer a vision that redirects the country toward what is loving, just, and good for all. Religious nationalism does not represent most Americans. It doesn't represent most American Christians.
Our deepest moral and faith traditions teach us to practice faith, hope, and love in the public square.
Redirect 250 will be streaming sermons, meditations, and prayers from 9am–6pm on Sunday, May 17th. Diverse faith leaders from around the country will point the nation toward liberty and justice for all.
